What is the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Accreditation Board?

The Accreditation Board develops, defines and publishes the criteria for professional standards for courses of study and for individual awards for approval by the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±, and approves applications for such мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± accreditation.

The Accreditation Board is independent in nature. Although it is a sub-committee of the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±, authority on matters of Accreditation has been fully delegated. The Accreditation Board has its own Chair of senior academic standing, with a record of research and publishing in the field of dyslexia and independent of any provider of dyslexia training, delegated and is made up of leaders and experts in the field from around the UK.

Course providers that demonstrate they are able to meet the professional standards offer courses of study leading to the following мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± accreditations:

  • AMмÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Associate Member of the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± (and their FE/HE and Dyscalculia equivalents)
  • ATS Accredited Teacher Status
  • APS Accredited Practitioner Status
  • ATF Accredited Tutor FE/HE
  • ATD Accredited Teacher Dyscalculia
  • APD Accredited Practitioner Dyscalculia
  • ALSA Accredited Learning Support Assistant

The Board is also responsible for considering all applications from those applying for AMмÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± or ATS through an Individual Merit route.
