Applying for multiple accreditation renewals:

If you wish, you may choose to apply for more than one accreditation renewal at the same time. This allows you to renew any accreditations you hold at the same time and thus may reduce the number of forms you are required to complete to maintain these. However, evidence of CPD and teaching in each area of accreditation are required as below.

  • If submitting a renewal for AMмÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± & AMмÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± FE/HE at the same time, you must complete an additional 10 hours of informal or formal CPD. As an example, if you have submitted 20 hours of CPD largely related to pre-16 teaching and assessment, you will need to provide an additional 10 hours related to post 16 support or vice versa.
  • If submitting for AMмÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± & AMмÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Dyscalculia you must complete an additional 10 hours of informal or formal CPD on dyscalculia or dyslexia. Therefore, if your core 20 hours are based on dyslexia CPD, you will need to provide an additional 10 hours of dyscalculia related CPD.
  • If submitting for AMмÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±, AMмÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± FE/HE & AMмÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Dyscalculia you must complete an additional 10 hours of informal or formal CPD for each area. An example here would be 20 hours CPD related to pre 16 assessment, 10 hours of post 16 CPD and 10 hours of dyscalculia CPD.

Any CPD that covers the underlying principles of teaching or assessment, and thus could apply to all ages/SpLDs, would be considered part of your core 20 hours of CPD.

A fee of £75 is payable for each accreditation being renewed, unless you have an appropriate professional membership, in which case each fee is waived.
