мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Awareness Week

Get involved

Here are ways that you can get involved in #DAW24 to raise awareness of these key messages and help us fundraise to ensure we can continue to offer vital support services such as our national helpline, free to all.

Every story is different

Here at the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±, we’ve listened to thousands of you share your story of dyslexia and we know that every story is different. Share your story with us during DAW24 to raise awareness of the diversity of lived experiences within our dyslexic community and inspire others.

A strong opening sets the scene

On our helpline we hear too many stories where support wasn’t available early enough. Over 80% of dyslexic learners leave school without a diagnosis. Early chapters of their stories often feature barriers, obstacles and missed opportunities and this can impact their self-esteem and limit their life choices.

Information and resource packs

We’ve produced information and resource packs. Each one is specifically designed to help you talk about dyslexia and raise awareness of how to identify and support dyslexic individuals in your community.

During мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½± Awareness Week, we encourage you to share your own stories, to acknowledge different twists and turns that your life has taken and to highlight the possible challenges and celebrate strengths.

By sharing your support and/or the activities you are planning for #DAW24 we can reach more people with our message and help people understand their own stories better.

We have put together a range of social media artwork that you can add your own logo to, or use as is, across your own channels to show your support for #DAW24.

It’s never too late to change your story

We also hear stories where the right support has made a dramatic difference to someone’s life. Whether later in life, in education or in the workplace. We want to change more stories, but we can’t do it without your help.

Fundraise for us during DAW24 and help fund our helpline so that more dyslexic people can get the support they need from us to start a new chapter. There are many easy ways to fundraise; look at our fundraising pages for ideas and inspiration.
